Rabbi Karnauch explained that we build a sukkah to remember how the Jews dwelled in booths after they left Egypt. Footage is also shown from inside a large sukkah put up by Rabbi Karnauch in the shul’s courtyard. Many visitors visited the sukkah over the festival and enjoyed their festive meals there.
Rabbi Karnauch also spoke about the Ushpizin, who visit the sukkah at this time. He explained the significance of the Four Species that was sent from Israel by the Kazakhstan Jewry Society.
