In the video, the shluchim and members of the community are seen praying at the gravesite of Rabbi Levi Yitzchok. There are long lines of people waiting to enter the gravesite, where a general pidyon nefesh is read out by head shliach and Chief Rabbi Yeshayah Elazar Cohen. Also present is Israeli ambassador Ran Ichay.
“You suffered for five years in Kazakhstan, but now the hard times are over and will never return,” Rabbi Cohen is seen reading on the video. “Please ask G-d to end the exile, and we will see the Rebbe who sent us here together.”
Afterwards, the crowd sang various melodies composed by the Lubavitcher Rebbes.
The video also includes footage of the main event of that day, which was held in the courtyard of the shul in Almaty, and Rabbi Cohen’s son Avraham Tzvi Cohen reciting a Chassidic discourse.
