The video was directed by Mendy Cohen. Malachi Chizkiyah of Reshet Bet – Kol Yisrael narrates the Hebrew version, while Reuven David Miller of Kol Yisrael narrates the English version.
The movie begins with a survey of festival activities with the shluchim. Chief Rabbi of Kazakhstan, Rabbi Yeshayah Elazar Cohen, speaks in the shul in Almaty about Rabbi Levi Yitzchok Schneerson, the Rebbe’s father, whose gravesite is in the local Jewish cemetery.
The movie shows how everything began with small activities, until a large premises was needed, and now there is a large shul adjacent to Rabbi Levi Yitzchok’s final resting place. The foundation stone for the shul was laid on 20th Av 5756/1996, and a year later the dream became a reality. Various religious leaders and distinguished guests from Israel and other countries attended the dedication ceremony of the new shul, and a new sefer Torah was brought into the building. The building houses a shul, a mikveh, dining rooms, offices, a library, and other community facilities.
One of the most moving parts of the film is the footage of Camp Gan Israel. It is hard for the children to leave their counselors, whom they had grown so close to at camp.
