Camp Gan Israel Opens in Kazakhstan

Three weeks of fun have begun in Almaty. The children are enjoying an exciting camp, where they absorb Jewish values in a positive, warm atmosphere.

Each day of the camp is dedicated to a different mitzvah, such as netilas yadayim, Modeh Ani, and Kriyas Shema before bedtime.

Each day, the children learn a topic through play, arts and crafts, drama, and more.

The campers also get to swim in a pool that has been hired for the camp and is located behind the shul.

Other highlights of the program are a visit to the local kosher dairy, where each child receives a bottle of milk, a factory preparing meat products, and a dolphin sow.

The children will find it hard to leave the camp, which is run by Mrs. Cohen and counselors Mushka, Sara, Devorah, and Rivka Karnauch.
