HISTORIC PASSOVER FOR KOSTANAY KAZAKHSTAN

History was made this Passover when approximately 70 Jews in the remote Asian city of Kostanay, In the republic of Kazakhstan , celebrated Chabad sponsored community Seders.

Two young energetic rabbinic students made the 20 hour trek from New York to Kostanay Kazakhstan.

Rabbi Dovid Zaltzman and Rabbi Arye Wilshansky spent weeks of preparation organizing all the details for the historic Kostanay  Passover.

Upon their arrival to Kostanay, the rabbis discovered that there was a delay in the shipment of the special Kosher for Passover foods and it would only arrive on Shabbat.

The clock is ticking. The community Seders need meticulously prepared Kosher for Passover food. The rabbinic students'  resolve remained strong and unequivocal : No Jew shall be left behind.

Using the Chabad international network, the rabbis urgently contacted their colleagues in Alma Ata, at the other side of Kazakhstan and a young rabbinic student was immediately  dispatched to the rescue.

With Shmura Matza, Kosher wine and all Passover foods on hand, rabbinic student Rabbi Yeshaya Cohen  rushed to the Alma Ata airport for an urgent nonstop-direct flight to Kostanay.

With just hours to go before sunset of Passover eve,
The clock was ticking. The team of rabbinic students unflinchingly rose to the challenge.

A quick shopping at the local produce market , together with the efficiency of the kitchen staff , joined by a resilient group of community volunteers,  resulted in a perfect historic renaissance Kosher Passover celebration.

As the clock was approaching 8pm, the Kostanay  Passover Seders were ready to roll.

The young devoted Chabad students had successfully won the challenge of their race against the clock.

As the sun set and nightfall arrived in Kostanay , the beautiful sweet melodious sounds of the Passover evening prayer could be heard. Including the   inspiring Hallel thanksgiving prayers of King David which were sung with special excitement and celebration.

Following the joyous prayer service , the Jewish community of Kostanay  was seated at the elegantly set festive Passover Seder tables.

Thanks to three devoted young Chabad rabbinic students, driven by the Rebbe's directive to reach every Jew on the globe with unconditional love, Ahavat Yisrael,  the Jewish community of Kostanay  enjoyed a happy delicious festive Kosher Passover.

It was a historic happy Passover renaissance for Kostanay , arranged in miraculous record breaking time.
