Thirty students from around the world successfully conclude ten days of Torah study honoring the Rebbe's father Rabbi Levi Yitzchak Schneerson

In honor of Chof Av, thirty Chabad Lubavitch Yeshiva students studied Torah for ten days near the holy resting place of the Rebbe's father. For the 5th consecutive year, Yeshiva Oholei Levi Yitzchak inspired the Alma Ata Jewish community.

Philanthropists Avi Shaulson and Shmuli Stern  have pioneered and generously sponsored the annual Alma Ata summer Yeshiva in accordance with Jewish tradition of establishing a Yeshiva near the holy resting place of a holy righteous Jew. Avi and Shmuli wanted to ensure that Torah and prayer were recited around the clock at the holy resting place  of the Rebbe's father on the day of Rabbi Levi Yitzchak's Hillula.

The excelling students hail from twenty Chabad schools across Israel. With delegations from England and Alma Ata. From early morning to late night, the students were immersed in Torah study, community-wide activities and trips. Waking each morning to an in depth study of Chassidic teachings with a special emphasis on the Torah gems of the the Rebbe's father. A beautiful Mikve, inspirational daily prayers, gourmet meals, Torah lectures covering a variety of Jewish topics , trips and excursions,  we're all part of the meticulously planned daily packed schedule.

The students were overseen by a devoted staff. Rabbi Mordechei Cohen of the Chabad school of Alma Ata, Rabbi Shmaryohu Butman from Beitar Illit Israel and Rabbi Menachem Mendel Kirsh of Kfar Chabad Israel. The handpicked topics, the Talmudic subjects, the intricate  laws of constructing a Kosher Mikve, the diary of the Rebbe's mother Rebbetzin Chana, the brilliant Kaballistic and Chassidic Torah teachings gleaned from the manuscripts of the Rebbe's father , were all part of the curriculum.

A special delegation of students from Manchester England was sponsored by the famous philanthropist and benefactor of Lubavitch in Manchester Rabbi Zalman Klein and is friendly with some of the Alma Ata Shluchim who are alumni of the Lubavitch Yeshiva of Manchester.

Rabbi Gavriel Ben Moshe, the devoted Gabbai of the Levi Yitzchak Synagague of Alma Ata, lovingly arranged the meals and needs of the students.
