Friends of Chabad of Kazakhstan Make a Bris
This week, the English town of Worcester was the venue for the bris milah of the son of Danny and Avivit Zaidman.
The baby is also the grandson of Dr. Michael and Emma Zaidman of Rishon Letzion, supporters of Chabad Lubavitch of Kazakhstan. The bris milah was conducted at Dr. Zaidman’s home in Worcester, England.
Many family members from Israel and Kazakhstan attended the bris milah, as well as the director of Kazakhstan Jewry in Israel, Rabbi Moshe David Cohen. The mohel, Rachamim Chaim of Afula, Israel, flew to England especially for this occasion.
The baby was named David in memory of Dr. Zaidman’s late father, David Zaidman, who used to attend the Chabad shul in Rishon Letzion and passed away on erev Sukkos several years ago. Dr. Zaidman has given many generous gifts to his father’s shul in his memory.
At the festive meal that followed, Rabbi Moshe David Cohen spoke in praise of the baby’s late grandfather and said that little David will surely grow up to follow in the footsteps of the deceased. Rabbi Cohen also used the opportunity to conduct an impromptu Rambam siyum. He also gave the baby the special gift of a letter in the Children’s Sefer Torah.
