Next Issue of Women’s Magazine Now Out

This month is dedicated to the theme of parenthood and education. On the cover is a photograph of the kindergarten teacher at Gan Eliezer in Ust-Kamenogorsk and her son. Inside there is a summary of the Lubavitcher Rebbe’s discourse, “Education Begins Before Birth.”

Other highlights include interviews with Rebbitzen Chaya Cohen, mother of 17 children, and shliach Rabbi Elchonon Cohen, the only mohel in Kazakhstan.

Readers will also find about the Shifra VePuah organization, women’s health issues, and our mother Rachel, and read the advice column written by Dr. Fanya Salamonovna, a pediatrician in Ust-Kamenogorsk with 40 years of experience (and also a member of the Jewish community). Other interesting features are how personal example and a healthy marriage are the best ingredients for a successful education, and beauty secrets from cosmetician Raisa Mareshko, owner of a beauty salon in Ust-Kamenogorsk and a member of the local community. Alona, also a member of the community, was photographed for the article.

The children’s section includes a story, “The Baby Who Was Exchanged,” about circumcision in Roman times, by Nesia Goldstein, with illustrations drawn by artist Sergei Artamenko. The advertisement for lighting candles is illustrated with a photograph of a mother and daughter from the local Jewish community.
